I'm quite a tall guy (6ft 3in), so IS250 is out. I need ample leg-room.

What's a NVH score? Something to do with cabin noise? Lexus is really comfortable. Sat in my friend's SC430 a few times. Wind noise is minimal even when the top is down. No need to shout when you wanna have a conversation. That's QUALITY for you! Cheers!

I had an uncle who got a 2nd hand beemer a couple years ago.. think it was the 3 series model 2 generations ago.. every single time he sent it back to the official workshop... his service charge would never drop below $1,500... he sold the ar after a while Laughing

I think beemers r reliable cars.. maybe they r just not suited to our hot weather.. on the other hand i see lotsa beemers on the road at any one time.. so maybe its ur luck at the draw? but do u wanna take the risk?

for ur height.. i guess u would have to try to to see if u fit.. my friend is 3 inches shorter than u... but he has no problems driving a hyundai getz.. Laughing

I guess the concensus here is more or less towards the lexus.. unless u wanna be special and try to get the nissan infiniti range.. its to nissan what lexus is to toyota.. might needa special order tho..

i wouldn't wanna sit directly behind u when u drive man... serious lack of legroom behind is in order

Hmmm... I think the 523i's exterior is pretty nice, just that it's a common-sight nowadays. The interior is definitely DATED! No doubt about that. Even the latest Honda Civic's interior is nicer than 523i!

You are buying a ‘status’. Nothing to do with specifications, comfort, maintenance, etc. BMW give you more ‘status’ than Lexus. If you cannot afford the maintenance cost, I advise you to forget about the whole thing.

Of course I can well afford the maintenance of a Beemer but it's not fun if you keep having to send the car to the service centre, agree? Even if it's under warranty, it's still a hassle. Besides, I don't care about the status shit, I only want comfort. I pay to enjoy my ride, not to show-off. Otherwise I would have opted for the MB SLK...

Your price is too dated. It is only $159k for normal and plus $14k for super Lux.
